WoW Minipets: Part 4

Reputation Rewards

While some vendors will trust anyone with the care of their charges, others will trust only those who have proven themselves loyal to their cause. Each of these pets requires either Revered or Exalted with the faction selling them.


Sporeggar

Anyone who has ventured as far as Zangermarsh will have noticed the gentle spore bats that make the area their home. The Sporeggar, a peace loving people, have tamed the tiniest spore bats and will allow others to purchase them. But first you must prove trustworthy and gain an Exalted reputation before you can have a sporebat of your own.

The Sha'tari Skyguard

The Skyguard make it their mission to defend Shattrath from aerial attacks. While originally you wanted to become exalted with the Skyguard for their unique looking mounts (which my druid rode until she got her Netherdrake, and I still call a flying dingbat) in patch 2.4 the powers that be added this cute little guy. Once again you need to be exalted to get him. As there are quite a few dailies associated with the Skyguard this really isn't too difficult, it just takes a while.

The Kalu'ak

The Kalu'ak are a tribe of Tuskarr that dwell in Northrend. The Kalu'ak are mainly fishers and whalers, and as such many players will choose to become exaluted with them for the Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole. But besides just having the only epic fishing pole in the game, the Kalu'ak also raise these cute little penguins. Again, you'll need to be exalted to get him.

The Oracles

The Oracles are a faction of Gorloc tribes living in Sholazar Basin. They are currently at war with the Frenzyheart tribe. Now, while the choice of which faction to choose (you can eventually do both) may be difficult for some players for the dedicated pet collector there is only one choice. The Oracles. For after achieving a Revered reputation with the tribe you can pick up a Mysterious Egg. The egg has a 7 day hatching period, so exactly one week after picking up your egg you can see what is inside. The egg has a chance of hatching into four minipets.

None of these are BoP so even if you get repeat pets you could sell them on the AH or send them to your friends or alts. The egg also has a very small chance of dropping a rare mount.

But be warned, for not all endings are happy ones. If you aren't blessed by the luck gods you could end up with only an Aged Yolk for your troubles.
